2 Jun GENOA – BOLOGNA, ITALY

After disembarking we travel by coach to the medieval city of Bologna- lively, historic capital of the Emilia-Romagna region, in northern Italy. We stay 3 nights in the Excelsior hotel, few minutes’ walk from all the city’s must see sights and tucked-away treasures. Dinner at the hotel.

3 Jun BOLOGNA – ITALY

After breakfast meet our local guide for half day tour. See the Piazza Maggiore and the medieval market, the City Hall, the Podestà Palace, the Neptune’s Fountain one of the most elegant Renaissance fountains in Italy, the King Enzo’s Palace, Basilica of Saint Petronio one of the biggest churches in the world and one of the world’s oldest universities. Dinner.

4 Jun BOLOGNA - MODENA  - ITALY

Today we’ll walk in the footsteps of Luciano Pavarotti & Enzo Ferrari as we explore their hometown full of captivating history. Walk through the old town, see Duomo one of the finest Romanesque cathedrals in Italy, along with the piazzas, market stalls and palaces of Modena’s lively medieval centre. Visit the old Jewish Ghetto built in 1638 and see the synagogue. Visit the Ferrari Museum, Casa Museo Luciano Pavarotti and stop at the Balsamic vinegar producer.

Brescia

5 Jun BRESCIA - ITALY

Today we travel to Brescia, Lombardy’s second largest city surrounded by the Alps and the Po Valley. Its rich history dates back to pre-Roman times. We stay 2 nights in Best Western hotel Master in the heart of the city, only a few steps from the historic centre. Enjoy Free afternoon.

6 Jun BRESCIA

After breakfast meet our local guide for half day tour. See the remains from the Roman Empire as well as ancient castles, the medieval centre and city squares from the Renaissance era. Dinner

7 Jun PORTOROZ / PIRAN – SLOVENIA

Today we depart for Portorož on Slovenia’s Adriatic coast in the Municipality of Piran - one of the jewels in the crown of Istria. Many compare this resort with the French Riviera, with its beautiful promenade stretching along the coast, modern hotels and white yachts. We stay three nights in the luxurious five-star hotel Kempinski. Dinner at the hotel.

8 Jun PORTOROZ – PIRAN  SLOVENIA

Meet our local guide for the tour of the oldest Slovenian town and one of the best preserved in the country. With its rich cultural heritage, narrow streets and charming Venetian architecture, Piran is considered a museum town. The narrow streets and closely built old houses add to the town’s special charm. Dinner in Portoroz.

Croatia-Pula

9 Jun PORTOROZ – POREC - PULA, CROATIA

Enjoy full day tour as we cross the border into Croatia’s most attractive coastal towns. Porec, where the roads of the old city retain a structure of old Roman castrum while the main streets, Decumanus and Cardo Maximus, remain preserved in their original forms. We’ll stop at the family-run, Stancija Kumparicka farm to taste some goat cheese before continuing to the ancient city of Pula – a standout among Croatia’s larger cities due to the wealth of Roman architecture. The star of the show is the well preserved complete Roman colosseum. We’ll return to Portoroz for dinner.

10 Jun MARIBOR – SLOVENIA

After breakfast we depart for a 3 hour drive to Slovenia’s second largest city and home of the oldest vine in the world! We check into Hotel City Maribor. In the afternoon meet our local guide to explore the old town’s historic monuments, large number of free-standing towers and the Jewish quarter. Free time to explore the inviting cafés, large parks and lots of photogenic old villas. Dinner at the hotel.

11 Jun MARIBOR – BUDAPEST, HUNGARY

After breakfast we depart for a 4 hour drive across the border to Hungary’s capital city Budapest, also known as “Pearl on the Danube”. Orientation tour of the spa hotel. Dinner at the hotel.

12 Jun BUDAPEST HOTEL THERMAL

We will stay 7 nights in the luxury newly renovated spa hotel Thermal on the picturesque Margaret Island on the Danube river in the heart of the city. The spa hotel uses thermal water from local natural springs and mud rich in minerals for its treatments. During your stay you will enjoy daily buffet breakfast and dinner, health check, 12 spa treatments, indoor and outdoor pools, thermal water, steam baths, Jacuzzi, saunas, aroma cabins, sundeck and solarium.

13 Jun Budapest Sightseeing Tour

After breakfast meet our local guide for a 5-hour Grand Tour of the city. See some amazing world history, landmarks & architecture. Free time at the neogothic Market hall with farmers’ produce and souvenirs.

14 Jun BUDAPEST – SZENTENDRE Half Day Tour

Today we drive 26 km north into Hungary’s country side to the baroque village of Szentendre famous for its colonies of artists, sculptors and painters.

15 Jun BUDAPEST

Enjoy your spa treatments and the free day. Visit the main pedestrian Vaci street. Then walk to Erzsebet korut and have a look at the world’s most beautiful New York cafe that opened in 1894. Admire the work on the ceiling murals, and the gilded marble columns.

Heviz

16 Jun Budapest – Heviz  Day Tour

Full day tour to the spa town of Heviz on the northern shore of Lake Balaton, in Mid-Western Hungary. Explore this popular town with the world’s second-biggest thermal natural lake. Enjoy an original healing experience.

17 Jun BUDAPEST

Tonight enjoy private cruise and a party on the river Danube, and marvel at the genuine beauty, and century old grace of Budapest. See the most fascinating sights of the historical city often called the Paris of the East. We’ll say goodbye to our new friends and leave with some precious memories!  

18 Jun BUDAPEST –DUBAI – SYDNEY

11 am Depart  for Budapest airport and your flight to Australia  via Dubai.

Tue 19 Jun Arrive Australia in the evening.
